What the “Australian Vibe” really means. Australian Vibes is a term we Aussies use to describe our culture, the laid-back, thong-wearing, beach-going Aussies. But to Australian Photographers like myself, Australian vibes are more a term we use to describe the soft blues and aquas of the ocean, warm golden sands and deep oranges and reds of the desert, and lush greens of tropical rainforests. Or the subjects we often photograph from Sufers, native animals, Rugged landscapes to bustling food markets.
Our goal as photographers capturing the Australian vibes through our lenses is to combine these visual cues in a way that immerses the viewer, so they can almost smell the eucalyptus and hear the crashing waves.
