Queensland's most dreamiest Airbnb
Nestled in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, this dreamy airbnb is the perfect place to escape the fast pace life & enjoy the quiet countryside. It is called the Storybook Cottage for a reason… Because it looks like it is straight out of a Disney film.
Recently I had the chance to stay and relax in this beautiful cottage, It has everything you need for the perfect 2 night escape or even longer if you are lucky!
Just outside the small country town of Kenilworth, I spent my days here reading my book, journaling, enjoying the most beautiful bath and listening to the sound of the rain. The reception is limited and perfect to disconnect from reality for a little while, I was visited by the local birds and wallabies most mornings and enjoyed taking a walk around the garden when it wasn’t raining.
At night enjoy the fireplace and roast some marshmallows, or run a bath and read a good book. Inside there is even some boardgames and some watercolour paints if you want to explore your creative side.
There are many places to explore around the area if you are looking to get out and see what’s around. Kenilworth is only an 8 min drive away and has the most incredible bakery where they serve coffee in donuts! https://kenilworthbakery.com
Another great place to stop in Kenilworth is the dairy factory, https://kenilworthdairies.com.au you have to pick up a range of their cheeses for your cheese platters! I am obsessed with the lemon myrtle cheese!
Another favourite place of mine is Maleny, this is about a 40 minute drive from the cottage but a beautiful place to visit for lunch, My favourite place for lunch in Maleny is at Monica’s Cafe, https://monicascafe.com.au/ ; and afterwards enjoy a walk through the town.

I have to say though, if you love a good bath… You will absolutely not want to leave this bathtub, I brought some beautiful bath bombs from Lush and spend a few hours in this tub! Definitely my favourite item in this airbnb. I definitely could have moved in full time and enjoyed this country life for a while, I will definitely be back to stay again and hopefully for longer next time.
