Why Bohol?

Chocolate Hills

A lot of people ask me why I visited Bohol instead of a few other popular islands in the Philippines. Bohol isn’t know for its beauty or amazing beaches, instead its a place of culture, known for its chocolate hills and the wildlife that lives within it.

Bohol is an incredible place to visit especially if you stay along Loboc River, we stayed at Loboc River Resort. It was a beautiful place to stay and I recommend staying here if you visit Bohol.

What to do in Bohol?

There are so many different activities to do in Bohol from Zip lining to River Cruise to Snorkelling, The top activities I recommend doing while here include:

  • River Cruise along Loboc River - This is a great way to see Bohol and experience Filipino food, Along the way there will be performances from the side of the river so keep a look out,

  • Chocolate Hills - This hills are the most unusually shaped hills in the world, it is a pretty unique site and definitely a site worth seeing,

  • Tarsier Conservation Area - A lot of people have never heard of the animal Tarsier, but these little creatures are definitely worth a glance. They are one of the smallest primates to exist, they are very fragile animals because if they get to stressed they can bang their heads on trees and actually die!

  • Loboc Ecotourism Adventure Park - For adrenaline junkies or anyone that loves the rush visit this adventure park and zip line through the jungle and over the Loboc River, definitely a lot of fun and one of the best places to do it.
